Alums for Campus Fairness

August 13, 2020

Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) is a non-profit organization that brings together alumni to counter anti-Semitism that is affecting far too many university and college campuses, while also promoting an open and fair dialogue on campus regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict.  ACF works in partnership with StandWithUs.

ACF mobilizes alumni to press their alma maters to provide: (i) a safe and welcoming environment for students and faculty who feel a connection to Israel; and (ii) a comprehensive education, rather than activist propaganda, especially with respect to Israel.

We believe that alumni are important stakeholders in their university/college communities. Yet many alumni, even those actively involved with their alma maters, are unaware of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaigns against Israel which are spreading across campuses in the United States. Alumni are unaware that BDS and its supporters among faculty and students have created an increasingly toxic anti-Israel environment on campus, one which often encourages both open and subtle forms of bullying of the pro-Israel student community, as well as an increase in anti-Semitism.

ACF educates alumni across the United States so that they will be aware if BDS is making an impact at their alma maters. ACF also serves as a mentor and clearinghouse for alumni to organize into individual campus groups which in turn act effectively at their alma maters to fight anti-Semitism and promote greater fairness to Israel and its supporters. ACF provides advice for creating and structuring such groups, and helps them determine and implement the strategies that will work best at their particular campuses. ACF also provides a means by which alumni groups at various campuses can share experiences and insights.

ACF does not take official positions on political issues regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict, other than its commitment to the existence of Israel as a Jewish homeland with safe and secure borders.
