Israel Allies Foundation

November 5, 2015 -

The Israel Allies Foundation (IAF) is a nonpartisan and nonprofit educational organization that engages the United States Congress and state governments, and over 30 parliaments around the world, to advance Israel’s right to exist in peace as a Jewish democracy. Through legislator-to-legislator engagement and media outreach, the IAF mobilizes support for Israel while striving to improve Israel’s diplomatic relations and standing in the international community.

The IAF works on a range of issues including, but not limited to: gaining recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s indivisible capital by individual countries and the international community; ensuring Israel’s right to safe and secure borders; fighting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction Movement by protecting and expanding Israel’s international trade; reforming foreign aid to the Palestinian Authority and the United Nations Relief and Workers Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East; maintaining Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge; and improving Israel’s standing in the international community and among the media.

In the United States Congress, the IAF supports the members and work of the only bipartisan pro-Israel caucus: the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus (CIAC). Co-chaired by Representatives Eliot Engel (D-NY), Trent Franks (R-AZ), Doug Lamborn (R-CO) and Brad Sherman (D-CA), the CIAC has spearheaded numerous pro-Israel initiatives in Congress on a range of issues since 2006.
